Welcome to our first BIG adventure for 2011. We have loved the time we have previously spent in South America and feel very lucky to be able to be on one of the last cruises that will be allowed to cruise Antarctica.

Sea Days on the way to the Falklands

Monday, February 14th
Morning started with Bloody Marys at Michael’s Club.  Continental breakfast with drinks and specialty coffees is provided as an “Elite” benefit.
There was a “Meet & Greet” for Cruise Critic this morning.  Not much different from the Sailaway party but this is sponsored by the cruise line so some of the officers were there.

There are also very interesting lectures with presenters from the Smithsonian Institute.  So far, haven’t found any Mah Jongg.
Tonite is the first formal night.

The Captain’s Welcoming Party was tonite followed by an excellent production show with the Celebrity singers and dancers and aerialists Celia and Julien.

Tuesday, February 15th
Pretty quiet day…again interesting lectures and we did have a wine tasting seminar.
Early to bed in anticipation of landing in the Falklands tomorrow.  Hopefully, we will be able to tender in.  This is our second attempt to land.  Would hate to miss it as this is probably our last trip to this part of the world.
